Welcome to A Trek for Owen’s official website…

On Tuesday 16th November 2010 at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Owen Evans tragically died in his Mum’s arms with his Dad by their side. He was just 9 years old!

On the 12th May 2012, his Mum – Sue Evans, his Headteacher – Paul Freear and family friend – Lexi Sutton will be trekking The Great Wall of China in memory of this wonderful boy.

To support the three walkers we are planning a number of fundraising events over the coming months including a Band Night, Karaoke and Curry Night and a Charity Auction to name but a few. We plan to have some fun along the way and hope to smash our £10,000 target, much needed funds for a little known charity Aplastic Anaemia Trust.

We will keep this website updated with our progress toward our target, for anyone who wants to donate please follow the link on the right. This site will also keep you updated with dates and venues for our events so please keep coming back.
